adrianh Posted July 3, 2024 Share #1 Posted July 3, 2024 Advertisement (gone after registration) I was very happy with the connection stability of my Q3 before the latest firmware update and the latest Fotos Iphone APP Update . However, after the latest firmware update and/or the Fotos APP update, it will refuse to connect with my IPhone 15 Pro Max. I removed the connection and paired again the devices. The first connection was etablished fast and without any problems. However, this was the first and the last time the Fotos App connected to my Q3. This is highly frustrating to be honest. My X2D has no issues connecting and my Insta X360V4 is also super reliable.

Jonathan Levin Posted July 3, 2024 Share #2 Posted July 3, 2024 How close are do you have the IPhone to the camera? I’ve heard that sometimes if device is to close, it may have issues. But thats also true if its to far from camera. Camera battery and phone fully charged? Report back.
adrianh Posted July 4, 2024 Author Share #3 Posted July 4, 2024 (edited) It does not make any difference. Close/Farther away / Far Away. Full charged batteries. I have used the camera and the software extensively previous to those updates and it was rock stable, both for transferring pictures and also for tethered action. I can't say exactly if it started after the firmware or the software update but I can say that now, it is plain unusable. After I deleted the app and reinstalled everything, the first connection was perfect. Fast, fluid, tethering working. But the day after nothing worked anymore. Again. Jonathan Levin Posted July 5, 2024 Share #4 Posted July 5, 2024 I would try this: If you created a user profile with Q (I shoot sl3 so not sure if q has this) export that to camera card. Pull that card with exported user profile so you at least save your settings. Then do a camera reset. Before any other changes, see if you can re-pair camera and get things going that way. If all is good, then re-import user profile to get you old settings back. I no go after that, maybe something to do with one of your settings. adrianh Posted July 6, 2024 Author Share #5 Posted July 6, 2024 Thanks, if thr connection stays that way, I will give it a try. But the last firmware update has done a reset anyway, as I had to load the old profile from the sd-card.
