fotonutzz Posted June 29, 2024 Share #1  Posted June 29, 2024 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) Pre-ordered the HG-SCL7 Elk leather handstrap two months ago and just got it on 21 June 2024. Used it about 3x and it started to fray after about 1 week of use. This is how it looks like on 29 June 2024...... The nylon strap is too thin as compared to the previous version of the Leica S Handstrap. Just wondering if anyone has the same problem with their elk leather strap. If yes, Leica has to change it to a thicker nylons strap. I recall remarking to my Leica sales manager how thin it was and true enough, it can't even last a week. Not sure if it was a manufacturing defect or it is unable to stand the weight of the 90-280mm.  Welcome, dear visitor! jbb Posted June 30, 2024 Share #3 Â Posted June 30, 2024 Sorry for you and thank you for the post. I got mine 1 month ago and I extensively used it on safari with the "heavy" 90-280 and so far no issue. I'll keep an eye on it.
