InboundNeb Posted June 26, 2024 Share #1 Posted June 26, 2024 Advertisement (gone after registration) I am tried to message a member, but unfortunately received the following pop-up message "The page you are trying to access is not available for your account." Does anyone know why that would be the case? How can it be overcome?
Advertisement Posted June 26, 2024 Posted June 26, 2024 Hi InboundNeb, Take a look here "The page you are trying to access is not available for your account" message. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!

InboundNeb Posted June 26, 2024 Author Share #3 Posted June 26, 2024 Thank you @andybarton. It would be great to know the guidelines, but at the same time, definitely understand these features are for user-protection and fraud-prevention purposes.

You'll have to use the optional "circle" hood shown here, instead. Welcome, dear visitor! WarrenInOntario Posted February 12 Share #6 Posted February 12 Andy Barton I recently registered to this forum, gathering information as I prepare to switch my Nikon kit to Leica. It would be helpful at times to DM another member to enquire about a specific topic. How many posts do I need to enter in order to enable this function? Many thanks in advance Andy! andybarton Posted February 12 Share #7 Posted February 12 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi IIRC, you need to have posted 40 times to DM another member. @LUF Admin can confirm. It’s to prevent scammers with no real interaction with the Forum, DMing other members.
WarrenInOntario Posted February 12 Share #8 Posted February 12 Makes sense to filter out scammers. However, compared to other forums the threshold of 40 does seem unreasonably high IMO for experienced photographers like myself. Thanks for the prompt reply Andy!
andybarton Posted February 12 Share #9 Posted February 12 To be fair, we don’t know who new members are when they join.
WarrenInOntario Posted February 12 Share #10 Posted February 12 As an experienced moderator I must concur with your judgment. It should go quickly. Thanks again Andy.
