Just a few minutes ago, UPS delivered my Digilux 2 from the New Jersey repair shop. The total wait was 4 months, shy 4 days (the repair estimate was dated August 8).  The camera is ice cold right now from sitting in the delivery truck all day. (We're having a blast of winter across Canada.) I'm not going to turn it on until it's at room temperature so I can't tell how it works yet.  Pardon my bad cellphone pics...  The package   Camera sealed in plastic bag   A gift for my troubles. Before I sent my D2 in for repair, I read on this forum that someone sent their D2 in for repair without the battery and it came back with one. I thought I would try that too and Leica returned my camera with a brand new battery free of charge! Thanks Leica. I am so happy to have this back again. I've missed a lot of opportunities while it was away. But now that I have it back, I'm putting it to work.
