aj55 Posted June 14, 2024 Share #1  Posted June 14, 2024 Advertisement (gone after registration) Dear all, The path from the M9 to the SL2-s led to autofocus and eventually to more lazy picture taking, at least in my case. I decided to go back to manual focus and although that is also possible with the Sigma's I wanted to go Leica. Owning the Leica m to L adapter, M lenses were an obvious choice but with a substantial price tag. I went the R route and now have a 28 f2.8, 50 f/2 and 90 f2.8. All for under €1000 total! All in very nice condition. A comparable M set would be more triple that amount. So I am looking foreward to a manual experience, slowing down in the process and still have my Sigma's just in case 😉 Cheers

darylgo Posted June 14, 2024 Share #2  Posted June 14, 2024 The treasures from Leica that fly under the radar. If you want perhaps the best classical 50 Summilux lens, great glow at f1.4, the original R Summilux with separate hood and the later version with built in hood are available for good prices. The cinema guys love the e60 version that has updated optics and sells for 2-3x the price of the first two.
