I love the ms optics Sonnetar 73mm but have a question maybe someone on the forum can answer. If you look through the back of the lens, you can see a setting for infinity and a few other numbers which I assume to be distances. My lens is set on infinity. I have no idea what this is for or how it can be changed. This differs, of course, from the standard focusing ring that I use when the lens is attached to the camera. Any responses would be welcome. The lens is lovely, the pictures great, and its light weight and fast speed enable me to carry it everywhere so I have no complaints, just a hope to use it more effectively. BTW - my profile says I am in America but that is because India did not appear in the drop down box. I am America but the lens, the Leica camera and me are all in India.

+1 to the above.

I had the lens and frankly never dared to play around with the rear adjustment as I struggled with accurate RF focussing at mid/far distances anyway.

Although it was described as a “coma” adjustment the translation of the instructions AFAICR talked about adjusting for EVF Sony etc so I assumed it also adjusted focus accuracy.

As I prioritised mfd/portrait distances and my copy seemed OK this wasn’t an issue and I used LV for critical situations.
