Since the thread got kept alive, I might as well tell you what happend. Selling the SL2 was a done deal anyway, but I was still on the fence regarding the M11. But one of my go to dealers had an M11-P on offer as a display item. The price was tempting and they offered that I could test it for a bit longer than the usual two weeks. If any of the dreaded problems should occur, I could return it. So that was the offer I couldn't refuse and I've been using it side by side to my M10 for a while. Well, what can I say, no problems at all, not during normal use and not by force. I tried all the scenarios I could find to get it to freeze or malfunction in any possible way, but it worked flawlessly. It did an amazing job as a backup to the SL2-S as well.

Love the results, love the lesser weight, better ISO/dynamic range/metering it offers over the M10. Nothing that would by any means justify the price (I mean, I sold two veryveryvery good Leicas for this one), but I'm still very happy with the choice. The only thing that is absolute rubbish is the electronic shutter, the most miniscule movement will result in bendy images. But aside from that, I now have two absolute workhorses instead of one work, one hobby and one shelf camera and that's a win for me. I could go on sweettalking this, but there is no reasonable  explanation for spending this much on a camera. But I'm still happy I did 🤣
