answering one of the questions whether m9 is worth it in 2025 :D of course this is only one side of the story, but here is M11 vs M9 - 60 mgpxl vs 18 mgpxl - shot with same lens, both perfectly focused. Ones who know technical details well will know the answer, but still.. which is which and why? One image is 100% scaled, another - 180%. Made both BW so colours would not give it out.

I would guess the left is from the m11, it seems slightly sharper and clearer.

If in 2025 you are still only interested in sharpness, then it is better to buy a Sony. I have both an M9P and an M11. These are two completely different instruments. And shooting with an M9 in b/w is not respect for the color of the M9))

Took mine out for a trip for the first time and it didn't disappoint, with AI denoise in LR I can shoot liberally even at ISO2500. The limitation of the dynamic range is overblown - the rendering was so beautiful that you won't want to do too much to it. In fact, it doesn't have the dreaded green mess like the M240 series so it many ways it's actually more useful!

I'll keep this camera until it dies and I'll put it on the shelf for the rest of my life. 🥳

The images from this camera continue to amaze me. Mine is paired with a Voigtlander 35/1.5 and I just love the images, and the color within them. Whenever I start to think that the camera is a bit clunky, the shutter doesn't sound nice, etc, I take some photos with it and review them and I'm blown away. I love the limitations in the dynamic range and ISO range because it makes it feel more like you have some limitations to work within. I love that.

Anyway, one for a bit ago. RAW imported to Lightroom using Adobe Color and that's about it.
