ho_co Posted May 26, 2024 Share #1 Posted May 26, 2024 Advertisement (gone after registration) Any idea how to keep the D-Lux 7 lens cap attachment string from fraying at one end of the reinforced part? How do you attach yours? Thanks. Welcome, dear visitor! As registered member you'd see an image here… Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members! wda Posted May 26, 2024 Share #2 Posted May 26, 2024 Have you considered buying an automatic lens cover? Leica did offer one. Or get one from the internet.
ho_co Posted May 26, 2024 Author Share #3 Posted May 26, 2024 (edited) Good idea, David, but the replacement string is less than $2 at the moment, and the Leica version of the automatic lens cap is $80 IIRC. 🙂 Oh, well, you're right. Nothing's too much if it says "Leica." Might as well order one... But I'm still curious if from an engineering stress perspective there's a particular "good" way to thread the tether... wda Posted May 26, 2024 Share #4 Posted May 26, 2024 You could save if buying one from Amazon. A JJC version costs £12.99.
