I mean the rear LCD - I don’t use the EVF to review that information. To come back to the thread though, I thought this behaviour was what the OP wanted, or have I got it wrong?

So glad to hear the Q2 and Q3 perform alike on this score...now that I do understand it (almost sure!)

I did the dumbest thing...I sold my Q2M prior to getting the Q3.  Probably was thinking money and not wanting a camera that might be ignored.  Lord, I have missed it of late as I convert Q3 images to B&W.  So, I bought a used Q2M from MPB.  mpb.com  Had never heard of them.  They rate this camera "Excellent".  We shall see as it arrived tomorrow.   It comes with a lot of goodies that went when I sold my Q2M including Leica thumb support.  So excited with the thought of having it back again.
