I have been looking at what I can find of the 5 "Leica Looks" presets available for my Q3, and a couple seem right for some things I want to do.

The camera connects to the phone OK, and there is a mention of Looks in the Fotos setting screen, but nowhere, either on Fotos or the camera (2.0.3) can I see anything to

allow me to download either one, some or all of these. They seem to refer to various nebulous "instructions"; this in the camera manual:"Leica Looks can be easily downloaded to the camera via Leica FOTOS.

Connecting to Leica FOTOS

Follow the instructions provided by the Leica FOTOS app"

of which there don't seem to be any.

If anybody on the forum has managed to download and use these "Looks", I'd be grateful for any pointers as to how to do it. It's not the most pressing thing in the world for me, but I'd like to understand how to do it.

Once you've connected to the Q3 press the two circles at the very top left of the FOTOS app screen. That will take you to the Looks.

And you're right, it's not at all obvious!

Not to hijack the thread, but I wonder if there would be a desire/need for individuals to generate/make custom looks and then being able to make them available to the general public.  For example, a person would design an "Ansel Adams look" and make them available (free/fee) for others to download and install in their cameras.  Just thinking out loud.

Thank you. That took no time at all to do. I always marvel at how many things, both with cameras and otherwise, tell you all about what it is and how well it looks/does etc., but omit the middle bit, which is how to get it or do it.
