I've just tested not one but 2 x Fujifilm XF-20 flash units and both have failed to fire when attached to my Q3.

I've ensured that the camera is in full manual mode, shutter set to mechanical, flash mode = on, flash sync at end of exposure. The flash was in manual mode (I tried every power setting) and I also tried TTL out of interest but as expected that didn't work either.

The flash was pushed all the way home in the camera's hotshoe, wiggled, removed, replaced etc, but the flash would only fire if the XF-20 test button was pushed. The camera however will fire a Godux Junior, Canon 430EX and Nimslo flash units so it seems that the camera is not at fault.

The center contact pin of the XF-20 flash does look a touch shorter than other flash units but it still seems like it makes contact with the camera's hotshoe. There does seem to be a history of XF-20 users who have had the same problem but alas they've dropped off forum posts and are not responding to messages.

Has anyone had this issue with an XF-20 flash and if so, how did you resolve it?
