Hi everyone, I have a question for anyone who has had experience in a niche situation.

I have not yet had the opportunity to test the SL3 in the field properly, meaning by "well" an entire wedding where I bring home a few thousand photographs on different SD cards. My SL3 is configured like this: 128 SD and 512 CFe, so as to be able to have the capacity on the most expensive support for 5 SD cards, thus changing only one card in the field, from time to time.

The question is this: when the SD is full and I have to replace it, leaving the CFe inside the camera with all the photos captured up to that point, with the new SD inserted, what happens to the CFe? By my logic it should obviously continue to take and progressively save new photos from the new SD on the CFe, without touching the previous ones. The camera is set to record RAW only on both media in parallel.

Thanks to anyone who can give me some useful information.

That is how it works now.  After a card it full it keeps saving to the other card.

don’t let the SD card get full and change it before that..

I am using the 1TB CF express card as my main, it seams faster than SD

keep in mind to properly turn off the camera so that the same setting get saved, and the cash images are saved to the cards. Look for the red activity light. People that have been missing images are because they interrupted the process by pulling battery or card
