Can anyone summarize why? Better AF right? And what else?

YouTube doesn't tell you which camera was used for which shot, so I presume you are talking about reviews? Most of those are "first impressions", released on the day that a camera is announced. My guess is that reviewers didn't talk about video because the 47MP resolution made a more compelling story. Besides, who buys a $7,000 mirrorless camera to shoot video? It can do it, but that's not the main selling point.

The SL2 has very good video specifications. In many ways it's better than the SL3. However, because it's a 47MP camera, it has less low-light sensitivity than the SL2-S, and the video is more heavily processed (to get the resolution down to UHD). AF performance is broadly similar between the SL2 and SL2-S. Besides, AF isn't as important for video because it can get in the way of storytelling.

Well I did search Youtube for videos shot with Leica SL2 and all I got was videos shot with SL2S. So apparently they did, and they often do.

But I was wondering about the video stuff, I don´t disagree with you about the fact that this is mainly a photography camera.

Ok, video is more heavily processed.

Any other takings on this?

I didn't buy a SL2 for the video.

But... It has decent video specs. But on Youtube and similar, there seems to be almost no examples of anyone using the SL2 for video. Nearly all examples are from SL2S.

Initially the SL2 had massive issues with video. Would shut off recording with certain lenses very early in a batteries charge, and before the updated batteries came out the battery life when everything did work properly was a joke.

I love it for video now, it's my main B-roll camera and images from it can be stunning. I've also used it with anamorphic to cut down on effects of aliasing.
