Einst_Stein Posted April 21, 2024 Share #1 Posted April 21, 2024 Advertisement (gone after registration) Leica uses Lemo connector in many products, including geometric devices and Leica S cameras. Lemo -USB cable issued for data transfer, but there are many different Lemo-USB cables that seem not compatible. For example, 16014 is for S2, 16040 is for S 006 and newer, though they all have Lemo connector on one side and USB on the other side. There are also GE218, GE276, etc. What makes the difference? The electrical signal spoed? Transferring packet format?

Einst_Stein Posted April 22, 2024 Author Share #3 Posted April 22, 2024 (edited) At least, yes. On Leica S, the USB data transfer port has 9-pin Lemo female connection port while the flash port has 6-pin Female Lemo port. I wish I can find the pin assignment chart, because it is easy and cheap to find cable with 9-pin Lemo port on one end while the other end can be DIY to USB 3.0 to make a 16040 equivalent connector. But it is not clear if it needs any electrical converter in between. Edited April 22, 2024 by Einst_Stein
