I use three different bags and always have my Q2, a spare battery, some Zeiss lens wipes and lens brush. Depending on what I plan to do, I might also take an IR filter, ND filter and a polariser. If I’m doing IR or long exposure I’ll also be taking a tripod but it doesn’t fit in any of my bags so I just carry it.

Hi Greg,

Happy to share what's in my bag. I use a messenger style bag by Think tank.

It contains:

  • My Q3
  • Fuji XPro3
  • spare Q3 battery and also for XPro3
  • container for UV filter so it can be stored safely when off camera
  • a plastic carry/shopping bag for extra protection when I am in a sudden rain storm
  • business cards
  • spare SD-card
  • eye glass lens cleaning cloth x 2
  • an Apple Air tag, If I leave my bag somewhere, my iphone will alert me that I have left my bag behind or God forbid, worse than that

Aside from those basic items, I keep it simple and light. Oh, I appreciate your post, there is always something interesting about what other photographers carry in their camera bags and seeing photos of their contents is oddly interesting. Forgive me, I am at work posting and so haven't emptied bag to take a snap. Perhaps I may over weekend.

Cheers from Australia.

Always positive AussieQ and be careful with your bag!

Wow...some people here (I won't name names) should chill and learn some manners..  If you don't like a question...ignore it.  Nobody on here is forcing you to do anything.

Is that understandable Genoweffe (ok...so I did name a name)

yes sir...it is understood...now you can go back to what you were doing before

got a Bowery and it is surprisingly spacious..
Canon 1Ds mk III with a vintage 50mm fits in there, too..

But I usually carry it with me with the Q (from now on, Q2) in there.

Sometimes, I'll bring one of my film bodies along, like the R5 or R7.. But I might get brave and bring the Spotmatic or Fujica instead.

In my Think Thank Retrospective 10, I have so much space, I will bring the Q as well as the R7 with summicron 50, Summicron 90, and the Elmarit 28..

I have several permutations, but my two basic configurations are; in the small Wotan bag, I carry either the Q3 with flash and strap, or Q3, M6, flash and strap(maybe); in my ThinkTank bag (normally used for longer trips), it will be my Q3, M6, flash, laptop, blower, memory cards, batteries, and misc.

Think Tank Turnstyle 10 V2.0 sling bag. Comfortable to carry, for me the ideal compromise between a shoulder bag and a backpack. Its own weight is only 400g.

It's always ready to grab and go, be it for a stroll in my home city center or a trip to another city to do street photography.

Contents:

  • Leica Q3 with Leica UV filter
  • Spare battery BP-SCL6
  • 2 SD cards Lexar UHS-II 1800x 128GB
  • BC-SCL6 USB-C charger
  • Anker 533 10 Ah power bank to power the BC-SCL6 and/or the iPhone
  • Calibrite Colorchecker Passport, only using its excellent grey cards on the go
  • B+W ND 0.6 2 stops MRC Nano 49mm filter
  • Airpods and phone stand (for watching Youtube vids in the train)
  • Lens cleaning stuff
  • Some emergency medication
  • Room for a sandwich
