jacksbenjamin Posted March 26, 2024 Share #1 Posted March 26, 2024 Advertisement (gone after registration) Greetings all, hope everyone here is having a wonderful start to Spring! Wanted to see if anyone knows if there is a 3rd party that makes an eye-cup attachment for the SL3 or SL2 EVF (they have same EVF dimensions) I am looking to have a more fully blacked out viewing window like the reference below. Any thoughts greatly appreciated! Thanks, BEN JACKS // www.ben-jacks.com Welcome, dear visitor! tritentrue Posted March 26, 2024 Share #2 Posted March 26, 2024 Field Optics Research makes rubber binocular "eyeshields," one size of which fits securely around the perimeter of the SL/SL2SL2-S eye cup. I think B&H sells them.
jacksbenjamin Posted March 27, 2024 Author Share #3 Posted March 27, 2024 @tritentrue many thanks for the prefect recommendation on the eyecups! I found them on B&H just as you said and think they should be terrific 🙏🏻 For those who need a link they can be found here: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/898913-REG/Field_Optics_Research_b001_Eyeshields_1_Pair_Standard.html Welcome, dear visitor! These eyecups do block out light but I do think with glasses they may be a little challenging, I have to press my face against them to really black out the light because of how narrow they are, so they are not the total solve the problem. In an ideal world there would be a wider cup that is best for people with and without glasses. The search continues!
