I'm close to pulling the trigger on an SL (601, the original, as that's around the budget I'm prepared to spend). While testing it out, I was pleased to see that it has a number of aspect ratios to play with, and I noted that even when shooting RAW only, the picture was rendered in full but with green lines indicating the crop.

Can I assume that Lightroom (which is what I generally use) will be able to "read" the crop and display the picture the same way, i.e. it will display the full file and also indicate the crop I chose?

I know that some cameras will only do this if shooting RAW plus JPEG, which I don't mind doing, but if I can do it in RAW only, so much the better.

Thanks!
