Visoflex 020 on M11

Just acquired a M11. When I was at Camera West here in the San Francisco, they told me Leica is coming out with a firmware for M11 to allow it to be used with 020. As of today, it's not working at all on M11. Anyone knows if there is official word from Leica if it's going to be covered? I can't find info on that.

Never heard that.

The M11 EVF is compatible with M10 after firmware updates.

That's what I thought too. The 'older' Visoflex 020 is NOT compatible with the M11(-P).

I skipped that firmware update for my m10r just on the off chance that it might render my 020 useless, forcing me to purchase a visoflex2.

I haven't always been paranoid....but...😅

020 is always going to be the dedicated Visoflex for M10-P-R-D. Plus it has the GPS.
the new visoflex from m11 will work only in the reduced form anyway. the M10 can't drive the full-screen resolution.

There is no reason why 020 can't work with M11. I guess Leica wants to force all M11 owners into Visoflex 2. Honestly for how little I use EVF, 020 works perfectly fine. I wish Leica could be more "generous."
