Problem with the focus-ring

Hey guys,

Wanted to check out a problem I have with my Q3 with you.

My focus-ring has got stuck in the automatic mode, which limits my opportunity to use the camera immensely. I cannot turn it back to the M and it seems to be an issue of the button you need to press to "unlock" it.

I have been in contact with the store where I bought it, but my problem is that I am traveling, so won't be home and able to turn it in for a few more months.

Guess I am writing to see if any of you experienced the same and whether there is some kind of easy fix.

My Q does that occasionally, especially when I'm in a hurry.  I've found that if I depress the button and try to turn the ring more into the auto position first, then rotate it back to manual focus it frees whatever is binding the button.  I can actually feel the button depress just a hair more when it releases from auto.  Yours could require more attention than that but it's worth a try.

Thanks, I have had some problems with it before also, but not like this. I will try this as soon as I get back home.

Any resolution to this?  My Q3 focus ring just jammed in AF mode and I would prefer to not return it to Teaneck for what seems to be a really easy fix.  Thanks.

Man, focus ring issues, another users SD card would not lock in place, what is going on with QC on the 6k camera?
