Can anyone identify what the marking at the top of this picture taken from the front of an M3 viewfinder might be ? Something to worry about ? The viewfinder is dirty behind the front glass. The frame lines and patch are fine. Secondly I wanted to ask about small dots or points in the patch. I’ve had my M2 for years. Tiny pinhole dots were visible in the patch when I purchased it. They are almost unnoticeable unless pointed at a bright light. The M2 was CLA’d by a respected specialist in Germany. The dots were not removed by the CLA. I asked if this was something to worry about and he said no. It hasn’t got worse over the years. So I’m not worried but I always wondered what the cause might be. Especially as I was looking at an M3 recently and the owner described the same thing. Welcome, dear visitor!
