Ciroisa Posted March 3, 2024 Share #1 Posted March 3, 2024 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have just purchased a Leica M10 and its adapter which will arrive these days to mount the +2 corrective lens that I purchased used for the Leica M. The assembly seems quite simple but I would like to understand if it should be screwed onto the rubber eyepiece or if it needs to be done first extract the eyepiece, screw the adapter and then finally fit the rubber eyepiece onto the adapter. Do any of you have experience? Thank you in advance
Advertisement Posted March 3, 2024 Posted March 3, 2024 Hi Ciroisa, Take a look here Adattatore 24001 per lente di correzione. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Gelatino Posted March 3, 2024 Share #2 Posted March 3, 2024 I f it is not too late, cancell the 24001 adaptator and buy a +2 diopter 24005 that fits on all M's10 and M11.
Ciroisa Posted March 3, 2024 Author Share #3 Posted March 3, 2024 (edited) @Gelatino I thank you for the suggestion and the right 24005 adapter would be exactly the one you suggested as it was made for systems from M10 onwards. But I have already ordered the 24001 and it was sent to me because I had purchased this diopter used some time ago which I mounted on a 240. I don't remember if it should be screwed before the rubber eyepiece or above the latter, which is why I was asking if any of you have mounting experience with the adapter Edited March 3, 2024 by Ciroisa
Gelatino Posted March 3, 2024 Share #4 Posted March 3, 2024 Not so difficult to take off the rubber ring and put it back, so try when you will get the adaptator.
Ciroisa Posted March 3, 2024 Author Share #5 Posted March 3, 2024 @Gelato thank you for your suggestion; so the rubber ring should be placed at the end, it should be fitted at the end over the adapter and the diopter, right?
Gelatino Posted March 3, 2024 Share #6 Posted March 3, 2024 Actually I had a diopter on M10 and 11 without the adaptator, but I think that the rubber ring is to be taken off (kept carefully to be set back in case of removal of the adaptator) before you screw on the adaptator and finally the diopter on the adaptator. Either look for the process on youtube or ask at a Leica shop for confirmation.
