Hello, leica M11: operating principle of the auto speed + auto sensitivity pair (in relation to a chosen aperture) How is the speed chosen ? Is there already a discussion on the subject ? Advertisement Posted February 27, 2024 Posted February 27, 2024 Hi R. K.-B., Take a look here M11 Tuning. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Pelu2010 Posted February 27, 2024 Share #2 Posted February 27, 2024 Maybe this helps you? It's called Aperture priority and Auto ISO. And you can control the "exposure compensation" by mopping it up or down. But if you are thinking of the time, then it's better to set the time as "you" like it. You are the only person to know what time/speed you need or want. Should the image be taking with a slow shutter or fast? This is something that you can practice and it is fun. Because sometime you get results that you did not anticipate. Have fun experimenting. cheers Peter

Just as an aside, do you turn on the special feature for recording you as taking the images? I understand one can turn it off. Correct?

I assume for me that with a 60MP sensor any small movement could ruin what I want sharp. Perhaps this is simplistic but that is how I work in M mode and sometimes A mode with a high shutter speed in Auto ISO and a high ISO so that the camera will not revert to hitting a low ISO setting and then taking my SS too low for my liking.
