chazlin Posted November 26, 2007 Share #1 Posted November 26, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) My M8's charger just started emitting a slight "buzzing" sound over the weekend when charging batteries. I know for a fact that it's never made this noise before. Even though the M8's manual states that a "buzzing" from the charger is "normal," I'm still a bit paranoid given the few reported cases of electrical failure. I know that there have been a few posts about failed chargers with buzzing noises, but my batteries seem to charge fine for the time being. I want to ask if there's anyone out there whose charger has been buzzing but M8 and batteries have had no problems whatsoever? Is this a symptom for impending failure? Thanks very much! Charles FYI, I quote from the manual: "When the charger is in use, it can make a noise (buzzing) – this is quite normal and is not a malfunction." marknorton Posted November 26, 2007 Share #2 Posted November 26, 2007 I wouldn't worry about it. It's coming from the transformer and other inductors in the charger and may depend on how clean the AC power is.
