I returned my RRS for Leica q3 as i couldn’t take the sd card out and i am a normal size guy.  I wanted to love it, as j have loved all RRS plates over the years.  JJC for me.

A bit late, but you are correct in that it is a bit difficult to get normal size fingers down in the hole to grip the card.  My solution is to put a small tab of tape on the card that folds down when you close the access door, but when you open it you can flick the tab up and grab it, pulling the card out after you have pressed it to release it.  Works well for me.

Super light..and never had a need for "portrait" tripod mounting...Had RRS bracket for my Q2, but prefer the JJC

That is a great idea. I bought my RRS L-plate for my Q2M before I even rec’d the camera. But I’ve been very frustrated by my inability to get my fingers in there to grab the card.

Maybe I’ll try one of those little colored plastic sticky tabs used to mark sections of documents . . . .  Thanks for the idea!!
