DrM Posted February 8, 2024 Share #1 Posted February 8, 2024 Advertisement (gone after registration) Dear all, Maybe I missed this, but I saw the SL2/.. has Profoto and Godox support. Is there any HSS flash support for the M11 coming up? The Leica flash units are too limited for me. Best regards Marc

kunzhobel Posted February 8, 2024 Share #2 Posted February 8, 2024 I think Godox is for Leica M11 to. Gregor
DrM Posted February 8, 2024 Author Share #3 Posted February 8, 2024 (edited) Maybe to add to my use case, I would like to use the flash on camera, like the Profoto A12, and off camera as well. But that seems to be unsupported. The trigger is supporting the M11.. Godox is supporting the M10, but not the M11.. 🫠 Edited February 8, 2024 by DrM
Photoworks Posted February 9, 2024 Share #4 Posted February 9, 2024 No Flash from Profoto or Godox will be compatible with the Leica camera. there are triggers for these companies, Godox for Leica does not work for M11 in HSS or TTL. I have not tested the Profoto, but some say the flash trigger works on the M11 with the correct firmware. The only flash options are from Leica SF60 and SF40. I use them but I agree they are outdated.
Stevejack Posted February 9, 2024 Share #5 Posted February 9, 2024 I use profoto with my M11-M quite often, but I don't remember it working in HSS when I tried it. I didn't spend time on it though as I didn't need HSS, but I was also using the generic profoto trigger and not the Leica specific one, which I *think* is a requirement for HSS anyway. If you have the correct Leica Connect Pro trigger, which supports TTL, then HSS should work just fine.
DrM Posted February 9, 2024 Author Share #6 Posted February 9, 2024 Thanks for all the replies. There doesn't seem to be an option with flash for on and off camera besides the Leica ones. Hopefully Profoto will release an A10 for Leica..
normanallen Posted February 9, 2024 Share #7 Posted February 9, 2024 Advertisement (gone after registration) My Profoto B10 and A10 and A2 seem to work fine with my M11, when using the Profoto Connect Pro Remote for Leica.

But I think the A1 looks to big on the M11

anbucco Posted March 13, 2024 Share #14 Posted March 13, 2024 I just ordered the new Godox X3-L trigger. Even though I could find a compatibility list I hope it will work with my Leicas (Q’s and M 11-P).

I recently emailed with Godox and told me they can't make the M11 work, hope fly can figure it out. where did you preorder it from?

Loplop Posted October 16, 2024 Share #17 Posted October 16, 2024 I am searching for studio flash compatibility for my M11 and found this thread. Thought I’d post a late-2024 update. I emailed Godox to ask about M12 compatibility for the XPro II-L and the new X3. They responded that neither trigger has been tested with the M11, as they don’t have an M11 to test with. Looks like Leica and Profoto are the only “officially supported” flash systems. Of course, anything works manually, which is what I’ll likely do. TTL and HSS are fairly good but put a guy in a black suit in the pic and watch things change!.Its digital so you can chimp to get the desired result

I have Godox triggers in the manual, even the X3 with Canon mount. It works. I would never use the TTL in the studio anyway, it is all about controlling each light, a simple setup for me is 6 strobes.

That said, HSS (and even some occasions TTL) can be nice for mobile/outdoor/non-stationary setups with strobes. At least that would be my use for it. Just wanted to pass on the info in the event someone thought, as did I, that Godox would have added M11 support by now.
