SOHODE Posted January 5, 2024 Share #1 Posted January 5, 2024 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi, I bought a used Leica SF60 flash from a camera store in D.C. It came without batteries and I put in fresh AA batteries. I tried to turn it on immediately after putting the batteries and the red light blinked but it failed to turn on. After a few attempts it turned on and it seemed to work normally. I removed the batteries and put them back in and the same issue repeated this time for a longer while and the red light did not even blink this time... After several attempts it started to turn on. And then I tried it many times and it turned on without repeating the issue. I removed the batteries several times and put them back and the issue did not repeat anymore. Since the issue is not repeating anymore I'm thinking this behavior is related to the flash being without batteries for a while and/or potentially a bad capacitor? While it seems to working now I don't know what is the best to do. Edited January 5, 2024 by SOHODE
