digilux 3 white balance

in playing around with my new digilux 3 i was fooling with the white balance menu's. I'd like to get it back to "factory specs",

 

Now when i set a WB, like "auto" or "shade", the camera is presenting me with a grid that allows me to make fine adjstments to white balance.

 

shouldn't i be able to set white balance without the prompt for fine adjustment ?
