Fotos app not connecting (Pixel 8 + M11)

Has anyone else got this combo and finding that their camera connects every time? I'm finding that mine hardly ever connects, sometimes I get lucky and it'll connect and show the photos but then when downloading the RAWS will just sit saying it's downloading but not do anything. Once in a blue moon, the photos will download and then not again for weeks.

I've got latest firmware on both, tried deleting app and re-pairing, deleting cache etc. Nothing works. It was the same for my Pixel 7 so I don't think it's a phone thing, I'm assuming it's just an awful app in general but maybe there's a possibility of the camera being flaky. If you have a Pixel 8 and M11 and find you have no issues, I'd love to know so I can try and figure out what's going on. I mailed support and got an auto-response that they'd be in touch soon but that was about a month ago, hardly premium. 😕

I had got the same after updating my IPhone to 1.17.1 software and M 11 6.0 update. But after  deleting Leica photos and reinstalling and re/ pairing everything run smoothly

I had the problem with my Samsung with Android 13 was an active VPN connection. Turned it off and it connected without problem. After that, I dont have problems even with VPN Active.

I have used the app with both my Q2 M10 and now M11

Using an older iPad and an new iPhone and iPad mini.

If your joined to a WIFI network and have anything using that connection the app fails to connect, acts up etc etc. get the connect popup 2 or three times etc.

Disconnect from all wifi networks and try again. seems to work this way faster and more reliably for me. I cat answer to the non IOS devices but maybe its similar.

In the latest version of the Fotos app, they seem to have finally fixed the connection issues. I've had no issues the last few times I've used it so hopefully it's finally sorted.
