The K&F Concept Nikon/Nikkor 'G' to 'L-mount' lens adapter (c/w aperture ring) is one of the 'budget price' adapters – compared to, e.g., the more expensive Novoflex and Fotodiox offerings.

Has anyone tried the K&F Concept adapter and if so, would you recommend it, and if not, why not?

I'm aware that when using any Nikon G to L-mount adapter, there is no 'in camera' indication of actual aperture and it's MF only. BW, dunk

Several vendors do have a  "Nikon G"  to L-mount adapter within their product line.
Last month, I mentioned it within a subject  < HERE >   (Information within the last paragraph of that message).

But in case you are using G-lenses without an aperture ring, there are special adapters with an own kind of aperture ring.
Settings made in some steps, by moving the tiny aperture lever at the mount of these G-lenses.
Values has to be "estimated" more or less.  No real aperture numbers. But at least the lens can be used.

The adapter I bought, was not from K&F - but just a kind of white label  "Ali Express"  model. And it is working perfectly.
Search for:   Peipro NF-L Mount Close Focus Adapter for Nikon F Lens Leica Lumix Sigma L Mount Camera 'S for S1/S1r Fp Sl/Sl2 T
(I unscrewed the part of the tripod base, and covered the two remaining screw holes with a piece of matte black tape).

In that time (about two years ago), I searched for best available options. Also the K&F model was part of this evaluation.
I chose that AliExpress model over the K&F model, as the stepping part for setting aperture values by a separate ring
is more defined, by a more wide distance and clickable steps (by about ~1/3 steps) of the aperture ring than the model of K&F.

(However these "clicks" are a bit "wobbly" - not harsh, punchy clicks. But still IMO a better choice against "no values" ring at all of K&F ).

Just check images of these adapters and this "aperture stepping ring" part very carefully.
And you know, what is important by these parts, to make a choice.

Versus K&F  adapter:

Maybe  @buj  can give some extra comments about the handling of the K&F  model, as for the moving aperture ring part.
As he owns this model and experienced.   In my decision to make a choice in that time, I only went for "pictures" of the adapter.
Not real functioning of these adapters as for comparison  "real life"  in my hand.
