28M for the SL2-S?

I looking to get a 28-M lens to use on my SL2-S as a walk around which is why I am not using my 16-35! I don't need the 1.4 speed. Any thought on the other 28s --especially versions? Any experience with one over another on the SL2 -S body?  Thanks!

What about the Summaron? It’s really tiny.

Henryb,   First, welcome to the forum as you appear to have few posts.  Second, you will find a good number of well intentioned photographers who will offer their sage advice to include myself.   You ask a question concerning M 28 lenses.  The good news for you, they are all excellent and each render in a slightly different way.  The M lenses work best on M cameras and superbly with the SL2-S.  I personally use a M 28 Summicron.  The latest versions of the Elmarit and Summicron work better at the edges and corners.  But the choice is solely yours and asking for advice on what to buy, might not help you.  Instead, I suggest you take a look at these photographs taken with the different M 28 lenses.  This might help you decide.   r/  Mark

The Summaron looks pretty cool, but if I had the money I would go for the new summicron with close distance focusing

You may want to consider the Voigtlander Ultron, incredible performer at a fraction of the price of the Summicron.
