Also love that you can hit that joystick button and punch in for super accurate focusing when needed.  Welcome, dear visitor! Nope, own it, just haven't knocked updating my Leica Forums inventory off the todo list yet.

The bokeh and overall OOF rendering is just something I think you need to experience to really understand. I did at least. And practically speaking, the focus tab, or lack of one on the cron, got annoying for me. I also have a Q2 and just grew so accustomed to having it.

Printmaker Posted November 20, 2023 Share #7 Â Posted November 20, 2023 Advertisement (gone after registration) I understand but my favorite is the 75 apo Summicron (a similar design) on the SL2S and a 35 Summicron on my M10. But for fast moving situations I go with autofocus zooms.

I'm a 35mm guy. I change lenses rarely and only own a 50mm Summciron V4 (with the tab) for the occasional portraits. For the SL2-S, I prefer the 35mm Summicron ASPH M. It's sharp to the corners from 4.0 onwards and shows lots of character until f 2,8, including a lovely bent focal plane (within sharp edges and corners!) and some glow and super-nice flares but maintains a skin-friendly, distinct sharpness and avoids smeary corners. It vignettes reasonably compared to other M 35mm lenses, even at full aperture. But my most frequently used set-up is the M6 (mostly loaded with ISO 400 stocks, B&W and colour) with the phenomenal 35mm Nokton f1,4 SC V2, which performs surprisingly poorly on digital but is a revelation on film.  Welcome, dear visitor! hansvons Posted November 22, 2023 Share #10  Posted November 22, 2023 (edited) I shot this image with the SL2-S and the 35mm Summicron ASPH M at full aperture (Celtic graves in Portugal).  Welcome, dear visitor! I use the Novoflex L-M mount adapter. Before that, I tried a cheap adapter with unusable results. Edited November 22, 2023 by hansvons
 Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members!  And this one at f 8.0.   I find the adapter to be essential.
