a compact travel bag for the Q3?

I use either the Oberwerth Harry&Sally or the Ona Bowery.  Both can fit in the Q3 and a M-Body or one can use the space for other stuff (wallet, flash, sunglasses, etc.). Not the smallest combo but, me personally, I'd rather have a little bit more space to have my stuff in there and have my pockets free, especially on holidays.

Too many competing wants and too many competing options to generalise, even before expense enters the discussion. For walk around rather than more strenuous use I use the Ona Prince Street. Space for the Q3, together with my IR converted X100T, filters, table top tripod, batteries etc etc, together with an 11” tablet and a thin waterproof shell, all in a gorgeous and protective leather case. Not cheap, but for anyone who wants something a little larger than a bag which only holds the Q3 I would happily recommend it.
