A bag is very personal. I'm very happy with the https://billingham.co.uk/products/hadley-pro-2020-camera-bag_colour-navy-canvas-chocolate-leather

Good fit for the SL2+2 lenses, battery, charger, MacBook Air, weatherproof, and a luggage trolley strap (essential for me during business trips).

Good luck deciding, and fit your gear in the shop!

Best

+ 1, I just bought one. It takes the VLUX-5 and Q batteries, flash, and iPad Pro. With space left to fill...... I love the quality and waterproofness of Billingham. Had these bags for years now including one of the rucksacks.  Bought the Hadley Pro 2020 to replace the Mini Eventer which I sold. It feels to me as if the 2020 is bigger inside because the iPad Pro fits much easier into the bag that the Eventer. That was a pleasant surprise.

Looking for a compact sling or small shoulder bag for short trips with an SL2 and 2 primes. That is relatively discrete and easy to assess. Should be as small as reasonably possible. Ideally with one of the lens attached but this is not necessary. The problem with most slings is that they are designed for one shoulder only. An exception is the nomadic  8l sling. I also like the way this bag opens, looks easy to get to gear and change lenses on the go. For shoulder bags, the thinktank retrospective 5 looks like it should just be big enough.
Anyone have experience with either bag and a similar setup?

Wow, now I can see why there are so many bags on offer. The only commonality in this thread looks like we all like Leica cameras.

Once again, thanks for all the suggestions. I thought I would  provide a follow up.

To summarize, I was looking for a minimal sized bag that would hold the SL2 + 2 APO primes. After considering a number of options, I focused on a recommendation by @chris_tribble for the LowPro passport sling. Unfortunately, this bag was discontinued several years ago. The remaining stock was either fake, priced ridiculously high or clearance priced. I was able to find a brand new one on clearance, and figured if it didn't work, at least it wouldn't be a big loss. I have been using it for a couple of weeks now, and this bag is brilliant. It can be worn on either shoulder the padded insert is just barely large enough for the camera and two lenses. When carried this way, the rest of the bag sort of collapses in, keeping the bag nice and compact. At the same time it can expand significantly and provides some unique space for one or more accessories  like a small lens, flash, small tripod, reflector etc, or a snack, light rain jacket etc. It is great for a couple hours walking around, but I also think it is going to be my go to bag when travelling being relatively unobtrusive, yet very practical. It is a shame that it has been discontinued.

@Virob - really glad you found this - and completely agree, it's a shame it's discontinued.  I suppose it was a commercial decision - but it's a sad loss.

It seems that the moment you find a good pair of jeans or a sweater that works, the next time you try to buy it , the model's discontinued.  Though when I look back at the digital M's it's not that different 🤔

Hmmm - if you're willing to by from AliExpress (I've never had a problem), they have the LowePro Passport Sling in stock and will ship to the UK.  AS it'll be made in China anyway, why not go for it if you're looking for one - and it's heavily discounted.

Having read this thread I went for the Wotancraft Pilot 7l.  It was either that or another Billingham, but since I have four already (two of them are too small, one is too large, the other is a backpack), I decided to give the Wotancraft a try.

I think it is a great bag, but I didn’t like the shoulder pad very much, I found it cut into my shoulder a bit, so I replaced it with a slightly larger one with air-padding, which works great.
