Wolfs head Posted October 4, 2023 Share #1 Posted October 4, 2023 Advertisement (gone after registration) Mainly because of weight and bulk, I’ve sold all my Nikon and Sony equipment and bought an M10-R… However, I still have a Nikon SB800 flash. Can I use this as a manual flash on my M10-R without frying any of the electronics on the camera? I don’t use flash often enough to justify buying a Leica flash, even though it would be more versatile.
Advertisement Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 Hi Wolfs head, Take a look here M10-R Flash. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
olgierdc Posted October 5, 2023 Share #2 Posted October 5, 2023 https://www.aaronlinsdau.com/dslr-flash-voltage-safety/ SB800 has low voltage hot shoe, so I think it will work (3,6V). I used Leica SF-24D with c.a. 20V hot shoe with Leica M10. It will work only in manual mode.
