Carrot Posted September 23, 2023 Share #1 Posted September 23, 2023 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have the Q2 and SL2-S, the manuals for the two cameras have exactly the same wording on how to set this up, and I have it set to ON on both cameras. On the SL2-S the focus peaking is present in both MF and AF modes, but on the Q2 it is only present in MF. So in AF mode, whilst I can trust the camera to be in focus on the main subject, there is no focus peaking to help me see what else is within focus in front and behind the subject, i.e. DoF. I'm wondering if this is a fault with my Q2, or is this just how the Q2 is configured to work? If the latter, I'd have thought the manual would have said focus peaking is only available in MF mode? Advertisement Posted September 23, 2023 Posted September 23, 2023 Hi Carrot, Take a look here Q2 Focus Peaking . I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
mjw3 Posted September 24, 2023 Share #2 Posted September 24, 2023 Focus peaking is only available in MF mode for the Q2. I'd say your SL2-S is an oddity showing the peaking in AF mode as I've not seen that before (Nikon, Fuji).
