No responses = you’ve left way too many variables out.

Where are you located?

What kind of condition are you looking for?

Chances are, your idea of a “good deal” and mine or someone else’s could very well be, way different.

I wouldn’t tend to buy a digital M body from an individual. Leica stores or a Leica-specific dealer, such as Tamarkin here in the USA, are the only places I’d buy a second-hand digital M body. Check their prices and ask to see an image of the item for sale if one isn’t already posted.

I think perhaps the M240 subforum have a quite low activity.

A good deal for a decent M240 I would say would lay around 2000-2200 USD. An M-P in my opinion 2400-3000 depending on quality oetc.

In the UK, I note you are Portugal so will have access to EU suppliers and not to us without taxes, bottom is £2,000 top £2800 and that doesn't necessarily relate to condition.

I agree you want a dealer with a guarantee unless you are a gambler - Clint says “You’ve got to ask yourself one question: ‘Do I feel lucky?”

I recently bought an mp240 for $2800, in black from a private seller. 9/10? condition(two very minor scratches that are only noticeable at certain angles on the top plate, pristine screen and some lovely brassing where you’d suspect it to be) with an extra battery. Sammy’s camera in Los Angeles had/has two available, but wanted quite a bit more and came with a 6 month warranty included in the price. I took the chance and went with the cheaper option.

Go to eBay and search m240 and mp240 and filter for completed sales.

Search fredmiranda.com ‘s buy/sell page and you’ll see what’s available for sale and what’s sold mixed together in chronological order.

You can get a base feel for the current market utilizing those two sites. If you end up trying to buy through fredmiranda.com, you’ll need to pay a fee to be able to email those selling their goods on the site.

In retrospect, I would’ve bought an m10 if I had any patience at all. No complaints though. It’s an amazing camera and will continue to be.
