I solved this problem (I have both the 12 and 15mm lenses with Milich hoods) by going to my usual dealer and asking to search through his 'glory box' of useful, used odds and ends. After only a few minutes, I found plastic push-on caps to fit both hoods. One is from some sort of Nikon lens and the other unidentified, but they both work fine and cost a grand total of £0.00 :) - but then I did buy both a DMR and an M8 from this dealer within the past 2 years... I have this exact combination and do not use one. Among news photographers, lens caps and camera cases are shunned as they tend to get in the way of working quickly. On an RF camera, with the inherent risk of shooting with the cap on, even more so. Best, Gary The only thing about this particular set up, and correct me if I'm wrong, is that the filter is reversed. From one of ReidR's articles, he noted that the "backside" of a filter can scratch more easily and so in theory a cap may be well worth it. But you are right, the hood offers quite a bit of protection and with no TTL viewing on RF it's easy to click away if you are not paying attention to light meter reading.
