Not all USB C cables are created equal.

A 2.0 only transfers 480mbps while a 3.2 does 20gbps. That is over 4x the data.

USB 4.0 does 40gbps, 8.3 x what a 2.0 does.

Here is an interesting article that describes the differences. USB-C Cable Types: Everything You Need to Know | Laptop Mag

Personally, I plug the SDC card directly into my computer and the transfer is very fast.

Not sure if this has been addressed before or not, but transferring files by USB-C cable on the SL2 is very very slow.  In contract, I just tried it with the Q3, and it's much faster.

According to Leica Tech Data docs for both cameras:

The SL2 is USB 3.1 Gen1 Type C up to 5Gbps transfer speed

The new Q3 is USB 3.1 Gen2 Type C up to 10Gbps transfer speed.

I'm using the same cable for both the SL2 and the Q3, and the difference is quite noticeable.
