memphismonroe Posted August 28, 2023 Share #1 Posted August 28, 2023 Advertisement (gone after registration) So I got the latest version, I was surprised and happy to see that "Support for Leica L Log color management" has been added. However, I can't find any information on how to actually use it. In project settings I can add Time line color space "Leica L-Log" Then I use Red.709 Gamma 2.4 for Output color space. Do I just add the Leica 709 lut on a node and are ready to go? It looks fine, but I know a lot of Davinci users use color space transform as well before adding luts. You can chose Leica L-Log in the input gamma in Color space transform which makes it a bit more contrasty, but if I then add a lut it get way to much contrast. Any settings to recommend?

Photoworks Posted August 28, 2023 Share #2 Posted August 28, 2023 Import a folder of Leica media to your project and create a timeline from selected clips. in the little wheel in the bottom right and select Color Management Pick Davinci YRGB Color Managed and Widegamut intermediate for the MODE, the output will be Rec 709 Gamma 2.4 in the Media tab select all the leica clips and assign input color space to Leica LOG by right-clicking on the clip They should all look correct now. edit and deliver.\ There are other ways with CST or LUTS, they have a different processes. I find this one easy and give good relults. I am working on a video for the different ways. will be out soon. Welcome, dear visitor! memphismonroe Posted August 29, 2023 Author Share #4 Posted August 29, 2023 I have been shooting with the Black Magic Video Assist 12g 5" in braw and couldn't find "Input color space" anywhere for the clips, maybe because this is in .braw. I did find this option tab in project settings and worked well with Widegamut intermediate Welcome, dear visitor! Under raw settings under the color page change "TImeline Settings" to "Clip" and you can adjust the RAW setting on a clip by clip basis. Edited August 29, 2023 by Geoff C.
