Reporter owners, what happens to the Kevlar if it gets wet?

Pretty much summed up in the title.  I am curious to know if it leads to more fraying, warps it or does nothing.

I never soaked it, but I used to clean my Reporter aramid fiber cladding (Leica stopped using the Kevlar name) with a damp microfiber cloth to help turn it more black again – no ill effects.

Never clean as I want it to look brassed. Oh, I mean used.

I had my Q2 Reporter (about 18 months old) out in the rain a couple of days ago. I haven't seen any colour change as a result. A part of mine (bottom LH corner as you look from the front) is starting to fade to a mid-light green, but not much). It's probably where it sits in the palm of my left hand (with fingers round the aperture ring). No fraying though. Leica said that the material would fade to a green - I've been waiting for this to happen!
