Lopezso Posted August 16, 2023 Share #1 Posted August 16, 2023 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi there, I am new in the community and am amazed about how much information I could already find in the different forums. I need some help so I hope some one can help or give some advice. I am considering switching my equipment to Leica M Mono to reduce weight firstly and gain image quality. Also I own a Q2 Mono and feel quite restricted with the 28mm focal length. I usually do long exposures with my DSLR of 5 to 10 min and would like to know if any one has experience with the M11 Mono on that kind of exposures. I have seen that the M11 has the option to switch off Noise reduction so that is already a big plus. I am interested to know if the camera is producing noise in dark areas (not underexposed areas but really areas where black and dark grey predominate) and that at different ISO levels if possible. I ask this because the Q2 mono is producing lots of noise on exposures above 1,5 min at ISO 200 already. Similar results with the M11 would be a KO for me. Thanks!
