Recently I was shooting in a dark theatre where the comparatively bright light of the SL2-S's top display was a potential distraction for the people around me. Since I didn't find a way to temporarily darken it or switch it off, I went the DIY way and put a piece of gaffer tape on the camera. Is there any "proper" way that I did not find in the manual?

Doesn't look like it, it's come up before...........

Thanks Dave! I was searching for Top display, so didn't find it in teh forum. So looks like the gaffer tape will be permanently in my photo bag then 🙂
