I have a total of 4 customizable buttons on my Q3. I kept zoom level on the left top button. The one right next to it is AF mode. The one on top inside the wheel is exposure metering. The one inside the cursor island is Info levels.

What options did you chose (and why?). I can imagine this is not final for me. I think I will use the Info levels options to chose something that makes sense in a certain situation if it arises.

What do you mean with long press? If I long press a button I get into the selection of the wanted option...

If you long press you get all the options you have assigned to that button, if you short press you get whatever you've chosen from the long press previously if that makes sense and 99% of the time I have it set to Focus Mode for quick access, i've just added the option to switch to the others rather than going into the main menu.
