M11 mono: battery stuck

Hi 

I have being photographing with my M11 monochrome this early morning, then I wanted recharge the battery but it is stuck. If I activate the lever on the bottom I hear that the battery is released, but pushing it afterwards to fully release it has the opposite effect of locking it again.

This is really disappointing, I have bought this camera just a few weeks ago…

Do you have any suggestions?

Hi Wolan, sorry to hear about the problem. I presume you have removed the battery successfully previously? If so you will know that just a slight push, after the battery release has been activated, is enough to allow the battery to be removed. When you activate the release lever, does the battery drop freely (to the point where the battery can be pressed again to allow removal)?

If this is the case I would seek the advice of your Leica dealer and take it from there. I hope this is resolved for you quickly. On another topic, thank you for all the photographs you post on the forum.

Thanks, with much difficulty and many attempts I am able to extract and insert the battery again, I think the spring that ejects the battery after unlocking it with the lever is broken. 
I am waiting for an answer from Leica about this problem, will update this thread once I know more
