Advertisement Posted July 14, 2023 Posted July 14, 2023 Hi thierry40, Take a look here ND filter for Q2 . I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
pcgarner Posted July 14, 2023 Share #2 Posted July 14, 2023 B+W filters are considered top, and are also the most expensive. You're looking for 49mm. Density is difficult to recommend as it depends on multiple factors. I'd advise doing a bit of research before buying. I use mine for shooting in sunlight at f1.7.

ikc Posted July 14, 2023 Share #4 Posted July 14, 2023 When I first wanted to learn about this topic many years ago, I found this website to be really helpful. It's a very well written guide to starting with long exposures, and it includes settings, filter types, and techniques. https://www.alexwisephotography.net/blog/2010/02/16/guide-to-daytime-long-exposures/ 1
ianforber Posted July 19, 2023 Share #5 Posted July 19, 2023 I use Urth filters for my M11 - decent quality at a good price. You might want to have a go with those before deciding what strength you want and getting a more prestigious brand. I use Formatt Hitech for my Q2 but that’s because I hadn’t heard of Urth before I bought them!
Farrell Gallery Posted July 19, 2023 Share #6 Posted July 19, 2023 I have a 3 stop and 6 stop Breakthrough, color accurate and good. I don't like variable, as they're stacked filters.
