tomahurduc Posted July 14, 2023 Share #1 Â Posted July 14, 2023 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello! I have multiple Canon Speedlites that I would like to use off camera with my M4-P, with the Canon Off-Camera Cord 2. However, because of the pin on the M4-P's hotshoe, the cord doesn't fit all the way into the hotshoe. Has anybody modified one of those in anyway to make it trigger on M film bodies? Curious to hear your experiences, cheers!

hepcat Posted July 14, 2023 Share #2  Posted July 14, 2023 As you won't be able to use any of the TTL auto functions of the Canon flashes because the MP-4 only has the center triggering pin. Basically you just use it either on manual or "auto" the same way you'd use a Vivitar 285HV. I have five of the Vivitar 285HVs.  I just bought a cheap Chinese radio trigger set and called it good. I use the radio triggers both on my corded Norman studio lighting set and for the 285s.
