hello all

I want to find a case for my camera - an M6 with a 50 summicron - but I can't find one that suits me. I want something like the ever-ready case but with a strap attached to the case. The ever-ready case uses the strap of the camera.... When I shoot I want to remove the case and have the camera free in my hands whereas the case will be around my shoulder hanging with a strap... The reason I want a camera case and not a bag is because of its compact size.

Something like this in the picture I attach...

Do you have any idea where I can find something like this new or used in a good condition for an M6?

thank you

Yannis,

Maybe Luigi Crescenzi can help you.

Take a look at: Nuova pagina 4

As he writes on his page:

I am happy to may offer a special case designed for the camera LUGS safety ! Made thinking to the recently made "Millennium" M6,

this case avoid any contact between any strap metal rings with the delicate black paint strap lugs of your black paint camera...

of ANY cameras ! (obviously, being the strap permanently fixed to the case :-)

Is this what you are looking for?

Regards

Ruben

If I understand correctly, you want the strap attached to the camera case and no strap on the camera? If so, the first time you drop the camera changing film, you will change your mind. A camera inside a case also takes time to ready for a photograph.

The best of all solutions is no case at all. With careful use, your camera will still look fine and if you think a case will disguise your Leica, think again.

Think about it.-Dick

The Kameraleder case on my M4-P will also fit your M6. The strap attaches to the camera.

The camera strap stays around my neck and the case drops of the bottom in about two seconds. The camera is then flipped over and whilst still hanging safely from my neck has its base plate removed. The base plate or Abrahamsson Rapid Winder (which ever I am using) is placed safely in the removed case. The camera is loaded and the baseplate re-affixed and the case shoved on and the two snaps refastened; quick and easy. Mind you while shooting stills on a movie set or other photographic job I do not use the case; those couple or three seconds are precious and there is no time to enjoy the feel of the fine leather in my hands or indulge in the olfactory delight of having my nose pressed against the case as I look through the viewfinder.

Yours,

Robert Morrison, M4-P, etc.
