As I rushed out of the door a few weeks ago holding my SL its strap caught on a cabinet door knob and yanked the camera out of my hand; it landed on the stone floor with a sickening crash. Amazingly the camera was completely unharmed but the lens on it - a Macro-Elmarit-R 60mm - despite looking fine, was completely off. A week later it was at Aperture being repaired and two weeks after that it was back home, as good as new. Aperture did a great job with no fuss and excellent customer service; Leica repair services are not thick on the ground, so I'm very happy to recommend them. I should add that I have no connection at all with Aperture, I'm just a satisfied customer.
