Split Rings for Strap

I tend to add these to my cameras. This is the leather protector with the ring where I can then slip the peak design anchor through.

Problem solved. Ordered a strap with split rings and the protector discs.

These are very nice, and have the leather flap to protect the body from the rings (they are a bit of a pain to put on). I was traveling in New England, US, and stopped by Youxin Ye's place for a quick thing to one of the bodies. He saw the older one, and mentioned that since that (earlier) M4 (and the strap lugs) was brass, I should use brass rings with the strap, to retard wearing the lugs with steel rings. I never would have thought of this, but he is the expert, so I got brass rings for both cameras. I just keep an eye on the rings.

Strap maker Harry Benz has stainless split rings so tough that they look like they were engineered for the space program!

 

 He might sell you a couple of them or tell you where to find them if you ask.
