Life By Stills Posted June 29, 2023 Share #21 Â Posted June 29, 2023 Advertisement (gone after registration) I tend to add these to my cameras. This is the leather protector with the ring where I can then slip the peak design anchor through.

George Collier Posted July 2, 2023 Share #23 Â Posted July 2, 2023 I have two M4's, one an M4-2, and I use these straps, sold by B&H and no doubt others - https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1432766-REG/artisan_artist_acam100abkred_acam_100a_acrylic_camera_strap.html/?ap=y&ap=y&smp=ba_f1_lar&smp=y&lsft=BI%3A6879&gclid=Cj0KCQjwwISlBhD6ARIsAESAmp5rW8dAkvGmGC_Nqg-85ZEl6KMsCtwGM4h7qLWtn2rvwb7gfDR50SIaAueJEALw_wcB These are very nice, and have the leather flap to protect the body from the rings (they are a bit of a pain to put on). I was traveling in New England, US, and stopped by Youxin Ye's place for a quick thing to one of the bodies. He saw the older one, and mentioned that since that (earlier) M4 (and the strap lugs) was brass, I should use brass rings with the strap, to retard wearing the lugs with steel rings. I never would have thought of this, but he is the expert, so I got brass rings for both cameras. I just keep an eye on the rings.
Kiwimac Posted August 15, 2023 Share #24  Posted August 15, 2023 Strap maker Harry Benz has stainless split rings so tough that they look like they were engineered for the space program!   He might sell you a couple of them or tell you where to find them if you ask.
